This post is an invitation to anyone who has worked with me to share their experiences so other people may know what to expect, from me and from her work. Within the limits of your comfort level, feel free to include why you sought me out, why you chose me, how it felt to work with me, the changes you observed, etc.

I love working with Hope. Her name suits her completely. Her space – physical and personal (her presence or even on the phone) – is open, light, welcoming, supportive. I am the most authentically myself during our sessions because her approach allows us to welcome, notice, and explore any facial expression, movement, posture, and learn what the body – the deeper self – is trying to say. As I listen to it and gain skills in that type of awareness, my whole system works better: I am more present, more engaged in the world and in relationships, more respectful of my boundaries and others, more capable of honoring and supporting my needs.
I originally came to Hope to deal with trauma and Aspergers through a physical modality, as per the work of Peter Levine and David Berceli, looking for answers and solutions for my symptoms of hypersensitivity, emotional volatility, depression, etc., resulting from giftedness and late diagnosed Autism Spectrum Disorder. I had tried so many traditional and alternative modalities, from prescription drugs, to supplements, to diet and exercise, to a variety of talk therapies, but had hit a wall, because they were not addressing the physical aspects of my challenges.
I have been and continue to be surprised by the powerful transformative positive results of her practice, the parts of myself that we are discovering together, that she is enabling me to know and embrace, how specific body movements can rewire the brain. I have “levelled up” multiple times over our time working together. Our work has unlocked possibilities in me I had previously only dreamed about – like keeping my room clean (at last! No amount of nagging ever succeeded), discovering my aesthetic, letting go of half of my stuff (literally tons – one ton to the dump, another ton over countless carloads to charity), asking for help more easily, finding poise, deeper calm, decreasing the meltdown duration, increasing my ability to regain equanimity and to accept my weaknesses and to keep moving forward boldly.
Who knew that doing simple, specific movements with someone to witness and validate and guide could be so powerfully transformative for the better? I am excited to learn what other possibilities we will unlock as we continue the journey.

Working with Hope has been a unique experience. From the moment we met, I’ve felt Hope’s generosity of spirit and heart. She offers up opportunities for healing, expansion and awareness in brilliant and unfamiliar ways. Hope is incredibly patient in her persistent support of my journey. She shows up with a tangible love of facilitating growth and healing. She creates a gentle and powerful atmosphere of safety and support, welcome and openness that can only result in amazing conversation, expression and transformation.
